As per the official NCL Recruitment 2026 notification, a total of 259 vacancies have been announced for Mining sirdar and Surveyor posts. This are permanent post with deplyment across NCL mines in Singrauli District (Madhya Pradesh) and Sonebhadra District (Uttar Pradesh).

Competition level is low due to following requirements. Only candidates holding valid DGMS statutory certificates (Mining Sirdarship Certificate / Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency) can apply. Eligibility Criteria – NCL Recruitment 2026

Education Qualification

Mining Sirdar (T&S Gr. C):

• Passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board,
• Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency issued under DGMS rules,
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate,
• Valid First Aid Certificate

(OR)

Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized institute with a valid Overman Certificate of Competency.

Surveyor (Mining, T&S Gr. B):

• Valid Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency (SCC) issued under DGMS rules
• Degree or Diploma in Mining / Mine Surveying Engineering holders with valid SCC can also apply

Important: All qualifications and certificates must be valid and complete on or before the Crucial Date, 05.08.2026.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India and Coal India Limited norms. Refer to the official notification for full conditions.

One of the best oppurtunities in 2026 for DGMS statutory certificate holders. Aspirants with valid mining certificates (Sirdarship) or Surveyor competency certificate, your competition level is tiny comapred to open PSU recruitments, because the required certificates filter the crowd.

No. As per the official notification, a candidate can apply for only a single post against this employment notification.

Q2. I have passed 10th but don’t have a Mining Sirdarship Certificate. Am I eligible?

No. The Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (issued under DGMS rules) is mandatory for the Mining Sirdar post, along with valid Gas Testing and First Aid certificates. 10th pass alone is not sufficient.

Q3. Is there an interview in the NCL selection process?

No. Selection is through a Computer Based Test (100 marks: 70 Technical + 30 General), followed by document verification and an Initial Medical Examination. There is no interview.

Q4. What is the date for calculating the age limit?

The Crucial Date is 05.08.2026 (the last date to apply). Your age (18–30 years) and all eligibility conditions, including certificate validity, are counted as on this date.
