Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

• Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Stage 2 – Personal Interview
• Stage 3 – Document Verification
• Stage 4 – Medical Examination

Note: The CBT consists of objective-type questions covering Professional Knowledge relevant to the discipline applied for, along with Reasoning, Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language. There is NO negative marking in the CBT. Candidates shortlisted for Personal Interview typically 3 to 5 times the number of vacancies per post per category based on CBT merit.

Final Merit: Based on combined CBT + Interview performance, subject to document verification and medical fitness. There is no separate group exercise or skill test for most posts — confirm from the official notification.

Salary Pay Scale

Annual increment is 3% of running basic pay. In addition to basic pay, selected candidates receive Variable Dearness Allowance (IDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Medical Benefits for self and family, Group Insurance, Gratuity, EPF and other perquisites as per AAI rules.
