Eligibility Criteria – Cochin Shipyard Limited Recruitment 2025
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Scaffolder: Pass in X Std. with minimum 2 years experience in general structural/scaffolding works.
- Semi Skilled Rigger: Pass in IV Std. with:
- Essential: Minimum 3 years experience in rigging, including 2 years in heavy-duty machine parts, assisting in machinery erection.
- Desirable: Knowledge of splicing wire ropes.
Age Limit (as of 28 March 2025)
- Maximum Age: 45 years
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- Ex-servicemen: As per Govt. of India norms (Maximum 50 years).
Salary Details
- Basic Pay: ₹22,100/- per month
- Extra Work Compensation: Up to ₹5,530/- per month

- Practical & Physical Tests (100% weightage)
- Scaffolder: Practical Test (80 Marks) + Physical Test (20 Marks)
- Semi Skilled Rigger: Practical Test (100 Marks)
- Physical Test Includes:
- Climbing
- Minimum Pass Marks:
- UR/EWS: 50%
- OBC: 45% (for reserved vacancies)
- SC: 40% (for reserved vacancies)
